República Park Hotel ★★★

No and no bed..matress was reasonably ok..other stays better they are in the midst of renovations. .updating. still have some matresses need to replace.

This is for the gay traveler. .not a safe area for families. ..lots of homeless. .and after dark especially dangerous. .for the inexperienced traveler..here in Sao Paulo everyone must be vigilant.this is not a hotel nor area for the femaletraveler. .This hotel is popular with the gay traveler because there are 4 gay bars directly across the street from the hotel. .

Croissants? Lol bed comfortable.

The area is very dangerous at night. .need to be extra careful. .taxi or Uber to and from dedtinstion every time. I live in Brazil most of the year. .one has to be very careful. No original documents should be carried on the street..don't carry a lot of cash..one credit card only on the street . use your cell phone inside a restaurant or building. Not on the street..daytime is a bit safer. .this area is full of strung out and drugged up homeless ..sleeping on thr street and beggging for $$ .in the general area and next to hotel. .But for the gay traveler. .there are 5 busy bars directly across from the hotel..and the place to meet new and old friends. .and a 30 second walk across the street back to the hotel..There is a Carrefour Express supermarket 2 doors from the hotel . prices excellent. They have everything. All rooms have balconies. Wi-Fi is very weak..

Great location and the breakfast was a surprise he good it was for the budget price.

The area around was a bit dirty and quite a few homeless people in the park opposite.

Pretty old fashioned decor etc but exactly everybody expect in downtown São Paulo. The location is perfect - right next to the Metro. My room was tiny but I knew that when I booked! Friendly staff. Great value for money. Good coffee at breakfast. I’ll probably stay there often.

- sufficient breakfast, big bed, all in all relatively spacious, very central, not too dangerous area, very close to the metro and airport bus

- in the room was so much dust, that i had to cough all the time (after a night i took a towel to wipe around the bed - ending up with a lot of black streaks on it because of the dust), some lamps were not working, tea drinkers: with the hot water you also receive dark fluffs and platelets in your cup - i tried it several days -always the same result - you can see that 100 years ago that might have been a decent hotel - but times are long gone - tables in breakfast room are extremely unfortunate designed, so you cannot use all chairs - and the chairs have really ugly stains - open wires around the electrically heated shower - windows don't block any noise - it was a bit chilly - got a cold because no heating devices available - and the extra blankets were covered in dust - increasing my coughing

An old favorite in many other trips, the hotel today still meets my needs very, very well. The staff is very helpful in many ways. Resolving a lost credit card problem, Ione and Rosa at the front desk helped enormously. Everything for me was great...again!!

What's not to like at the Republic Park Hotel?

The single room is very, very small.....u sweats d that before u book; also make sure aircon works otherwise u have to leave window open at night and the mosquitos get in.....

Comfortable bed..bathroom and facilities. Shower box etc..good.

During the holiday the area at night is more dangerous than it usually is. Coming back from the bailao..walking..only 5 minutes to the hotel..we were swarmed by thieves. 8 or more. .my friend who is strong and very muscular. .was robbed of everything. Money cellphone. Identification. .although they initially attempted to rob me. They suddenly turned to him and I was spared. .I kept moving. We were only 50 meters from the hotel.. Warning: take a taxi or Uber to and from destination no matter how short the walk may seem.we didn't. And should have for a 3 dollar cab ride. ..these thieves according to the police have knives and guns..put up a fight...and your history they said. .carry no original identification. Photocopies only. Minimal cash. Only 1 credit card.. the easiest one to replace. Do not put up a fight..the police told us of the horror stories of the previous night..that turned deadly. They swarm. .in a group..and have zero mercy. This is not an area for families ..women. .or children. .this is an area of gay bars across from this hotel. .for the courageous gay traveler only. The rooms have a secure safe in every room for passports. Credit cards. Anything valuable. . Use it! Do not use your cellphone on the street. Day or night..only inside of a building. .or inside the bars or restaurants.

No croissants. .lol... Basic breakfast. .ham cheeses. Eggs fresh juice. .fruits..good.

This is a dangerous area.at night. This is not a family hotel with children. .lots of homeless..drugged out zombies. Panhandling. .and looking to Rob people or worse..but for the careful gay traveler. .there are 5 gay bars directly across the street. .and the hotel is 15 meters from the bars to the hotel entrance.

Great location! Friendly staff! But towels had holes in them. Bedsheet was so thin I could see the mattress through it. There were flies in the bedroom in the 11th floor. Pillows were too hard.
